Homecoming at Last!

Dear Tulane Community:

Finally!

After what feels like several lifetimes, we are hosting an on-the-ground, in-person Homecoming, Reunion and Family Weekend. Safety is still our No. 1 priority, so we will be following all recommended COVID-19 protocols. But we are also going to fully celebrate the joy of Tulane and the happiness of being able to come together again, in-person – as students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff and Tulanians – for this special weekend.

The events, activities and celebrations planned for WAVE ’21 are the most varied and exciting of any homecoming I can remember. They range from dedicating the new home of the Carolyn Barber-Pierre Center for Intercultural Life to an unforgettable night of live music featuring 10-time Grammy winner Chaka Khan. They include a conversation with notable Tulanians in the music and entertainment industry, tailgating and the big homecoming matchup against conference foe Tulsa.

If that’s not enough, there are numerous reunions, open houses, lectures, exhibitions, brunches, receptions, dances, comedy shows and more. There’s a Catholic Center porch party and Challah and Cocktails at Tulane Chabad. There is truly something for everyone. So, view the whole WAVE ’21 schedule of events here and join in on the fun.

The past two years have been some of the most challenging in the lives of Tulanians – both individually and institutionally. But the Green Wave spirit has carried us through, steeling our determination and inspiring our hope for better days to come. This is really what we will be celebrating this weekend. This is why we are really finally coming home.
