Dear Tulane Faculty and Staff,
To honor all of you for your incredible dedication and contributions, next week, Nov. 6 through Nov. 11, will be Employee Appreciation Week. This well-deserved week of recognition and acknowledgment will include a variety of meaningful programming devoted to personal and professional development. I encourage leaders and managers to support their teams in attending the week’s events — and to make time in their own schedules to participate as well.
Employee Appreciation Week will culminate with the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Football Game, with the bowl-eligible, nationally-ranked Green Wave taking on Tulsa on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 11:00 a.m. in Yulman Stadium. If you haven’t made it to Yulman yet this season, I hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to cheer on our Cotton Bowl champions alongside your fellow staff and faculty. Tulane Athletics is offering a special “Buy One, Get Two Free” ticket deal for Tulane employees for the Tulsa game, with single tickets starting under $8 and free off-site parking. The Office of Human Resources & Institutional Equity and the Staff Advisory Council will host a pre-game tailgate tent and a festive gathering on the Capital One Fan Deck, with a complimentary buffet and giveaways sponsored by our retirement provider TIAA. Make plans to arrive early as capacity is limited, and be sure to wear your Green Wave gear.
Our faculty and staff are at the heart of Tulane’s success. I’m looking forward to celebrating you next week — but know that I am grateful for your contributions every day.
