Dear Tulane Community:
Of all the areas in which Tulane is ranked among the nation’s best universities, our designation as a top school for veterans (No. 15 in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings) is one in which we take particular pride.
Rankings such as this do not happen by accident. In addition to preparing tomorrow’s leaders through our long and distinguished ROTC programs in the Air Force, Army, Marines and Navy, Tulane participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges Consortium and other initiatives that help veterans and active-duty service members earn college degrees.
The value of veterans to Tulane cannot be overstated. They bring a level of commitment, purpose and leadership that inspires us all. Veterans are truly among our best students and Tulane will continue to welcome and support them for as long as there are men and women willing to serve our nation in this extraordinary way. We will be especially mindful of this tomorrow as we observe Veterans Day in honor of all U.S. military veterans – especially those from the Tulane family.
