It's Carnival Time!

Dear Tulane Community:

The Bead Three has been properly dedicated and decorated by the Tulane community. The Tulane Marching Band, which has already performed in the Krewe of Pontchartrain (where I marched alongside them, see photo below) and other parades, is now looking forward to marching in Orpheus on Lundi Gras. They are even traveling to Mobile, Alabama, for the Mystics of Time parade.

Meanwhile, Tulanians, young and old, first-timers and parade veterans, are preparing to ride, march, dance and catch along routes from Canal Street to Covington – and all points in between. Carnival is a special time for the Tulane community, a season that highlights so many of the things that make our region unique – the food, the music, the culture and, most importantly, the people.

To ensure that everyone has a safe and happy celebration, please follow these Mardi Gras Tips, courtesy of the Division of Student Affairs. And, then, let the good (and safe) times roll!
